Training
The Volhard Method emphasizes the use of praise for good behaviour. Jack and Wendy Volhard are highly respected trainers and even better known as trainers of trainers. Having studied with the Volhards at their Virginia facility, Linda Pike is an accredited Volhard Instructor. So is her associate, Jennie Murphy.
At
Companion, we teach you to teach your dog. All classes are limited to 6
dogs and their owners. That means a student-instructor ratio of 3:1,
which
ensures that you and your dog get lots of individual attention.
At the end of
each session,
we assign homework. Homework sheets guide you in your practice sessions
in between classes. This helps you to develop your skills in handling
and
to maintain consistency in your expectations and demands.

For puppies 8-16

Pre-requisite: Level 1
- distraction
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees
- preparation for obedience trials
Agility
The most fun you will ever have with your dog. A-Frame, Tunnel, Teeter-Totter, Jumps.
Puppy

courses are 7 weeks in length. Agility spans 6 weeks.

To reduce the incidence of puppy biting, leave puppies
